A mid Summer tented wedding at The Branford House in Groton featured shades of Lavenders, Lilacs, Blues, Pinks and Ivories in a naturally elegant style. Summer flowers such as Hydrangea, Allium, Herbs, Roses, Veronica, Scented Geranium and other blooms were used throughout the reception. Bundles of Dried Lavender were placed on each guests’ napkin. Eucalyptus and Spray Rose ‘chandeliers’ were suspended over tables with the help of Ryan Designs. A bed of Hydrangea, Roses, Eucalyptus and Pieris Japonica draped across a farm table for the placecard display.
This Autumnal wedding took place at the gorgeous Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme. Shades of Golds, Peaches, Creams and blush pinks were featured in the personal flowers while the reception incorporated some richer, deeper accents of colors such as Burgundy, pinks, oranges and other pops of Fall color.

One of my favorite trends over the past few years has been the use of long tables for the reception. Here are a few of my favorite designs…

I just finished up my last event today and decided to take a look back at this amazing year in flowers! It was truly one of my favorite year of events, each one had so many amazing details I can’t wait to share more photos!
Not only did this season bring the sweetest clients and most beautiful flowers, but to top it off I had my baby boy there with me in the studio witnessing all these events come into being. Starting when he would sleep through all the noise to now bumping around the studio in his walker getting into all kinds of trouble, it was definitely a memorable year! Here is a quick peek into the 2014 season, so many gorgeous events, lots more details to come!
August Private Residence Wedding…
Late September Horse Farm Wedding…
This gorgeous wedding took place on the Connecticut Shoreline. The day started with getting ready in a quaint Inn in Mystic followed by the ceremony at the Connecticut Coast Guard Academy Chapel and ending with a cocktail reception on the grounds of the beautiful Eugene O’Neill Theatre. The bride, Emily, works for the fabulous Southern Weddings Magazine, so right from the start I knew this was going to be a gorgeous affair! The day was captured beautifully by the photographer, Tanja Lippert , coordinated by Diana of Jubilee Events and catered by A Thyme to Cook. This wedding was featured in Southern Weddings Magazine, as seen in a previous post.

Last September we worked on a gorgeous blush pink wedding at the Riverside Yacht Club alongside Stacie Shea Events. Despite the heavy rain outside the tented reception was one of the most gorgeous I have seen! Light Gray linened round tables alongside wooden farm tables created a elegant and casual feel. Garden Roses, Jasmine Vine, Snowberries, Ranunculus, Andromeda and other romantic flowers were used throughout. Photographed by Charlotte Jenks Lewis. To see more of this beautiful event check it out on Style Me Pretty!
