Pale Pink Wedding at the Tomes Higgins House

I have been excited to design this wedding since last year when the bride showed me her collection of Rose Colored Depression glass that she wanted me to fill with flowers for her wedding centerpieces! This gorgeous wedding was held at the Tomes Higgins House in Greenwich. The wedding was coordinated and styled by the talented Candice and her fabulous crew at Jubilee Events. The color scheme of the wedding was a soft pale antique pink. Along with the bride’s beautiful collection of rose colored glassware we added in some black urns and silver mercury glass to counter all the pink in the reception. Because rainclouds were in and out all day the ceremony took place under a Sperry Tent on the front lawn of the Mansion. Ethereal altar arrangements featured lush filled urns with Curly Willow Branches reaching up to form an arch. Chairbacks were decorated with pink and ivory Dupioni and Satin ribbons with scattered Gardenias (which may be one of my favorite details of this wedding!). Gardenias, one of the brides’ favorite flowers, were scattered throughout the entire wedding. It was one of those weddings where you walk around and sigh at all the prettiness!

(I will be posting the professional pictures taken by talented Katie Slater as soon as I get them–the bride had a gorgeous pale pink after-party gown that I can’t wait to share once I get the photos!!)
