One of my all time favorite weddings was in late August of 2011 on the day Hurricane Irene hit and I have never posted the wedding in it’s entirety. It was a gorgeous affair at the Florence Griswold Museum. Held overlooking the river in a Sperry Tent with hung chandeliers from Ryans Design. Candice of Jubilee Events coordinated and styled the event. Amazing photographs by a collaboration of the talented Carl Ten Eyck and Lisa Berry.
With the impending Hurricane the wedding was moved up several hours to avoid any dangerous weather. The ceremony was moved indoors into the art gallery at the museum. A runner of lush garden blooms–Cafe Au Lait Dahlias, Spray Roses, Garden Roses and Dusty Miller lined the aisle.
So many beautiful details from this wedding! Here are a few of my favorites…
Under the tent Juliet Garden Roses took center stage in a mix of smooth ceramic, slate and cement containers. Succulents, Passion Vines, and fresh Peaches helped to add lots of textures to the tablescapes.
