Traditional autumn shades of rusts, browns and golds were mixed with softer tones of salmon, peach, blush and whites to create a romantic rustic affair for this October wedding in Litchfield, CT. Taking place on the bride’s grandmother’s estate this wedding was the perfect mix of country-elegance. Planned and coordinated by Sarah of A Polished Plan, there were so many little details that tied all the decor together. From Autumn leaves under every guests’ plate to wooden menus and hay bales scattered throughout cocktail hour. The local Connecticut grown Dahlias took center stage along with Garden Roses, Ranunculus, Chocolate Cosmos and textural accents such as Amaranthus, herbs and berries. Figs, grapes and persimmons were scattered on the tables. Textural wooden and terracotta accents brought a rustic vibe to the otherwise romantic lush feel of the floral arrangements.
This wedding was recently featured on Carats & Cake and was one of my favorites from last Fall!
