Outdoor ceremonies are my favorite to design. Transforming an open field, a backyard, a point overlooking the water into a memorable ceremony space to gather friends and family is a perfect place to get creative and set the tone for your wedding day. Now especially with so many weddings moving outdoors due to COVID-19 and becoming intimate in size, creating a special ceremony space is even more important to the overall design of your wedding day.
Here are a few of my favorites from the past few seasons…
This intimate Winvian Farm wedding featured our arbor covered with bright September blooms and a aisle runner of flowers to help make the smaller ceremony feel romantic and intimate. To see more from this affair click here.
This Belle Haven Club spring wedding featured purple Lilacs, White Peonies and lots of greenery vines. The circle arbor, handmade by the groom’s father framed the couple with the expansive LI Sound background. Simple poseys of Lilacs and Peonies were tied with silk ribbons to the guest chairs lining the aisle. To see more from this wedding click here.
This Greenwich residence backyard wedding had a gorgeous view of the LI Sound. Social Decor created this gorgeous chapel style frame which we decorated with greenery vines and the bride’s favorite Phaleonopsis Orchids. A platform for the couple to stand on was decorated with potted plants and lanterns. The aisle featured long window style boxes filled with potted plants which could then be transplanted to their garden. To see more from this wedding click here.
This Smith Farm Gardens wedding took place in front of this gorgeous Greek Revival style part of the residence. Greens, Hydrangea, Roses, and Dahlias crept up the Columns to frame the couple. To see more from this wedding click here.
This bohemian style arbor was hand built by the groom and set up in the open field of Winvian Farm on a sunny October day. Deep burgundy local Dahlias and blush Garden Roses with other Fall Berries and greens were used to create a romantic setting.
This luxurious wedding at a private residence in Glastonbury featured our circle arbor covered in greenery vines and decorated with all white lush blooms of Hydrangea, Garden Roses and Phalaenopsis Orchids. Romantic, lush and luxurious.
