I love the mix of textures, blend of colors, uniqueness, and unexpectedness of including different fruits into a floral arrangement. Each season calls for it’s own unique fruit to be paired with seasonal blooms. Early spring Kumquats pair beautifully with large Coral Peonies. Summer unripened Blueberries are the perfect textural accent to a garden inspired bouquet. Grapes, Figs and Persimmons are a nice contrast with the spiky petals of the local Connecticut Dahlias. Pears and Amaryllis are an unexpected combination in the winter months.
